Jordan Marder
I'm a Brazilian-German filmmaker and photographer. Grew up across Asia, ended up in Hanoi. I shoot and direct music videos, commercials, documentaries, and personal work, usually doing both the directing and the camera myself.
I started Marder Studio because I wanted to run things properly rather than just freelancing project to project. Being hands-on across the whole process, from the first conversation to the final cut, means the work stays consistent and I actually know what's happening at every step.
Good work usually comes from actually understanding what someone needs, not just executing a brief. I like working with people who take the visual side of things seriously and want something that holds up.

What I do

Directing
Leading the creative side of a project: concept, planning, on-set decisions. I've directed across film, commercial, and documentary formats.

Cinematography
Lighting, framing, camera operation. I work as DP on most of my own projects and take on DP work for other directors too.

Photography
People, places, events, products. I shoot a lot of personal work alongside client projects. It's where a lot of the visual thinking happens.

Post-Production
Editing and color grading. I handle post on most projects myself, from the first rough cut through to the final delivery.
The Studio
The name
behind
the work.
Marder Studio is the name behind the work. I set it up to give clients something more
consistent than a freelancer and less bloated than a full agency. A proper working
relationship where I actually know your brand.
A lot of clients work with me on a monthly retainer, which means we're not starting
from scratch every time. The content gets better the longer we work together, and
there's no briefing a new team every few months.
